What comes with serverserv web hosting?

NVMe storage on every plan

Your files and databases sit on NVMe drives, from 10 GB on Starter to 500 GB on Enterprise. NVMe handles many small reads quickly, which helps database-driven sites.

Free SSL

Free SSL certificates are included, so your sites load over HTTPS with the browser padlock at no extra cost.

Email on your domain

Starter includes 5 email accounts and Business includes 25. For bigger mailboxes and shared calendars, add Business Email.

CDN, staging and Git

Growth adds a CDN and staging sites to test changes. Agency adds Git deployment and Free SSL Lifetime.

No renewal surprises

Your plan renews for the same term at the price you paid. If a price must change, you get at least 30 days' email notice first.

Upgrade as you grow

Start on Starter and request an upgrade from your client area when you need more websites or storage.

What is NVMe web hosting?

NVMe web hosting is web hosting where your website files and databases are stored on NVMe solid-state drives instead of older SATA SSDs or spinning hard disks. NVMe drives connect over the PCIe bus, so they read and write data with less delay and handle many requests at the same time.

Storage speed matters most when pages are built on the fly, as they are in WordPress, WooCommerce and most content management systems. Each page view can trigger many small database reads, and faster storage shortens that step. It helps pages load and the admin area respond. Storage is one factor among several: page weight, images, caching and code also affect speed.

Every serverserv web hosting plan uses NVMe storage, from 10 GB on Starter to 500 GB on Enterprise. With web hosting the server is run for you, and you manage your websites, files and email accounts. If you need root access or want to install your own software, a Linux VPS is the better fit. Our guide to shared hosting vs VPS explains the difference.

Why does web hosting cost more at renewal, and does serverserv?

Many hosts advertise a low first-term price that needs a long prepayment, then renew at two to three times that price. The renewal price is often in the small print, so the second bill can come as a surprise.

serverserv does not work that way. Your plan renews for the same term at the price you paid. A Starter plan on a 3-year term is $3.99 a month when you buy it, billed once for the 36 months, and $3.99 a month when it renews. If a price ever has to change, we email you at least 30 days before your renewal and you can cancel before it renews.

When you compare hosts, check three numbers: the monthly price, the price on the term you will actually buy, and the renewal price. Our guide to hosting renewal prices shows how to compare them, and how much web hosting costs covers the full picture.

Shared web hosting vs VPS vs managed VPS: which do you need?

Web hosting is the simplest way to put a website online. A VPS gives you a whole virtual server to configure, and a managed VPS adds our team to run that server for you.
