Service Terms
Last updated 15 October 2026
These Service Terms add product-specific rules to our Terms of Service. Each section applies to customers who order that product: web hosting, Linux KVM VPS, Windows RDP, Managed VPS, OpenClaw servers, n8n servers and business email. Section 8, on backups, applies to all of them. If these Service Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Service Terms win for their product.
1. Web hosting
- Web hosting is shared hosting: your websites run on servers shared with other customers, under the limits of your plan.
- The number of websites, storage and email accounts are shown on each plan. "Unlimited websites" is explained in the fair use section of our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Free SSL certificates are issued automatically for domains that point to our servers. They are renewed automatically while the domain keeps pointing to us.
- Features such as staging sites, CDN, Git deployment and a dedicated IP are included only on the plans that list them.
- You are responsible for your website software, such as WordPress, its themes and plugins, and for keeping them up to date.
2. Linux KVM VPS (unmanaged)
- A KVM VPS is unmanaged. You get full root access and you manage the server: operating system, software, updates, firewall, security, users and backups.
- We keep the hardware, virtualisation platform and network running. Support covers those and access to your server; it does not include administering your operating system or applications, although we may help where we can.
- Root access means you can change or break anything on the server. Reinstalling the operating system from the client area erases all data on it.
- The IP addresses assigned to your server remain ours and are returned when the service ends.
- You are responsible for licences for software you install yourself.
- Each plan includes the monthly bandwidth shown on the plan. What happens when it is used up is in our Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Windows RDP and Microsoft licensing
- Every Windows RDP plan includes a licence to use Windows Server, provided by us under Microsoft's licensing programme for service providers. The price of the licence is part of the plan price.
- The software is licensed, not sold. Microsoft and its suppliers keep all rights in it. You may use it only on our service, only while the service is active, and you must not copy it to other machines, transfer it, or remove licence or copyright notices.
- Your use is subject to Microsoft's End User License Terms for service providers, published in the Microsoft Services Provider Use Rights at microsoft.com/licensing/spur. By using the service you accept them. Microsoft is not responsible to you for the service; any claims are against us.
- Windows Server allows a limited number of simultaneous Remote Desktop sessions for administration. If more people need to use the server by Remote Desktop, extra Remote Desktop Services licences are needed. Ask us before you set this up.
- Do not install other Microsoft software that needs a paid licence (for example Microsoft Office or paid editions of SQL Server) unless you have a licence that Microsoft allows on a hosted server. Ask us first.
- Windows RDP is unmanaged, like a KVM VPS: you have administrator access and are responsible for updates, security, software and backups on the server.
- Software licence fees are not refundable once the service is active.
4. Managed VPS
Managed VPS is a KVM VPS that our team looks after for you.
Included
- Initial setup of the server and its operating system.
- Operating system updates and security patches.
- Security hardening and firewall setup.
- Monitoring of the server.
- Help from our team installing and configuring software on the server, on request through tickets.
Not included
- Writing or fixing your own code, website design or content changes, support for software we did not install, and recovering data lost through your own changes.
- Licences for third-party software, such as control panels, unless your plan lists them.
- Backups, unless your plan description says they are included.
Access and setup fee
- Root access: Yes, on request. We keep our own admin access so we can manage the server.
- Changes you make yourself that break the server, or that stop us managing it, are not covered; we may charge for repairing them or ask you to move to an unmanaged VPS.
- Monthly billing has a one-time setup fee of $10, which is not refundable once the server is set up. Setup is free on 1, 2 and 3 year terms.
5. OpenClaw servers
- OpenClaw is independent open-source software. serverserv is not affiliated with or endorsed by the OpenClaw project. We install it for you on your own KVM VPS; you pay for the server and the setup, not for OpenClaw.
- OpenClaw is provided under the MIT licence, which you can read in the project's repository at github.com/openclaw/openclaw. It comes without any warranty from its authors, and we give no warranty for it either.
- You connect your own AI model providers. You are responsible for your API keys and accounts, for all model and API costs, and for following those providers' terms and usage policies. Model costs are not included in our prices.
- You are responsible for what your agents do: the messages they send, the actions they take on your accounts and other services, and the data they read and store. Review their permissions, and only install skills and plugins you trust.
- Keep the agent's control interface private and protected, as explained in our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Unless your plan says that our team manages the server, you are responsible for updating OpenClaw and the operating system after setup.
6. n8n servers
- n8n is software made by n8n GmbH. serverserv is not affiliated with or endorsed by n8n, and is not an n8n partner. We install the free n8n Community Edition on your own KVM VPS; you pay for the server and the setup, not for n8n. No n8n licence is sold or included.
- n8n is provided under the n8n Sustainable Use License, which you can read at github.com/n8n-io/n8n. You are the licensee and must follow it. In short, it allows you to use n8n for your own internal business purposes or for personal and non-commercial use. It does not allow you to offer n8n to others as a service, for example letting your clients build their own workflows on your server, or white-labelling it.
- Some n8n features, such as single sign-on and some team features, need a paid licence from n8n GmbH. Buy it directly from n8n if you need it.
- You are responsible for your workflows, the credentials you store in n8n, any AI model and API costs, and following the terms of the services you connect.
- We do not limit the number of workflows or executions. What you can run depends on your server's CPU and RAM.
- Unless your plan says that our team manages the server, you are responsible for updating n8n and the operating system after setup.
7. Business email
- Business email is priced per mailbox. Each mailbox has the storage shown on its plan.
- You need a domain you control, with its DNS records pointing to our email service. You are responsible for your domain and its DNS.
- Spam and virus filtering is applied to every mailbox. Filtering is automatic and not perfect: some unwanted email may get through, and some wanted email may be marked as spam.
- Outgoing email is subject to sending limits and the anti-spam rules in our Acceptable Use Policy. Business email is not for bulk or marketing campaigns.
- When a mailbox is cancelled or terminated, its email, calendars and contacts are deleted. Export anything you want to keep first.
8. Backups
Unless the plan description on our website or your order says that backups are included, no backups of your data are made for you, and you must keep your own copies away from our services. Where a plan does include backups, they are a convenience, not a guarantee: they may not cover all data, may fail, and are kept only for a limited time. Always keep your own backups of anything important. We are not responsible for lost data except as our Terms of Service say.
9. Third-party software in general
Operating system images, control panels and applications we install are third-party software, provided under their own licences. You must follow those licences. We are not responsible for defects in third-party software, but we will tell you about known problems where we can.
